The Weekly Comet 74 (comments and criticisms should be placed with Grace D....but good luck cuz 🔥)
Marriages, DeVylderes, Goats, Oh My!
You can probably tell from the title, but the TWC editors finally watched the Wizard of Oz! And in other news, a date has been set for the elusive DeVyldere wedding of 2020.
Mark it in your calendars folks: August 29th will be a day full of love, and goats! Numerous goat celebrities have already RSVPd, including the goat from the Taylor Swift parody music video. In addition, all festivities will commence whilst attendees perform Goat Yoga with local goats, and there might even be an appearance from the infamous Hot Goat Yoga instructor, Joel D.
Needless to say, this will be a wedding to end all other animal-themed weddings.
DeVyldere Ball: The Game Sweeping the Nation...or at Least the Yard
What’s more popular than Gracie Freeze-tag, Elijah-Doesn’t Know, and the Quiet Game combined? You guessed it (or at least Rachel did): DeVyldere Ball.
DeVyldere Ball has always been the national sport of the DA, but no one knows how the sport truly came about. Some theories talk of a “Capital V” gene is what led the creation of the activity, and that in this way all DeVylderes literally have the sport in their blood. This holds true in most aspects, with the only flaw being that Elijah D., found under a rock during the great storm of the Tri-State area, still possesses DeVyldere Ball skills. Another idea suggests that the ancient and elusive “BKA” created the sport, around the time Joel wrote the family newsletter and the invention of the Native-American burial grounds under the house. Rest assured, despite hardcore investigative reporting (AKA Elijah hiding under someone’s bed for a couple hours) from our end, the mystery of the creation of DeVyldere Ball remains just that: a mystery.
Because of this, and in spirit of both the shoeless season and the recent outbreaks of local pickup games throughout the area, we thought it might be time to remind each individual of the DA of the rules:
