Moving out

As it has most-likely come to your attention, our beloved bright-side-looking-artistic-musically-gifted-athletic-caring-fun-sarcastic-gorgeous-instantanious-fascinating-multi-talented (and not to mention potentially the best T.W.C reader of all time), Hannah D., is moving out. Hannah is going to Linnfield College in McMinnville OR. She is leaving this Thursday, (also known as intertowntional sad day), and she will be living in a dorm on the campus (pictures of it next week.) Even though we will miss her a great deal, and we’ve even intercepted messages to and fro the L.K.S in a scheme to lock Hannah in a closet for the school year, we know that she has to go.   From fairly young, to pretty much a kinda sort of adult. From the nineties, to the 2 thousands...to the later 2 thousands, Hannah has been awesome through it all. (By the way, we're not letting you off on the whole reading T.W.C every week thing.)

Below are the questions and answers that were said in her interview:   Question: What are you planning to get your degree in???   Answer: “I am planning to either get a degree in engineering,” (which could be helpful since we’ve always wanted to ride on a train) “or applied physics.” (The L.K.S is planning to recruit her as one of their top researchers and developers, (mostly because A: they can’t tell the difference between researchers and developers, and B: they can’t tell the difference between Applied and amplified physics.)     Question: What’s your roommate like???   Answer: “I have not met her but she seems pretty nice.”     Question: Are you going to have a job???   Answer: “Yes. I don’t know what it is going to be though.”     Question: What are your means of transportation???

Answer: “My bike.”     Question: What sports are you doing???   Answer: “Track.”   Question: How many boxes of macaroni and cheese will you consume per term???   Answer: "Well, if you take 3, and multiply it by 7, and then multiply that by the number of weeks per term, then you will have your answer.” (The jury is still out on whether we should call the cops or the army.)

And now for a bunch of pictures:

Water fight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Last last last Sunday afternoon, our cousins the Ferriers (locally known as the Ferraros) came to our house to disclose on tactics for a civil war (or at least that's what the L.K.S says.) Anyway, once they were done with their "official" business, then came the un-official business. We started filling up our secret stash of water balloons and, you can imagine what happened after that. Water was everywhere, balloons flying through the air and just when you think that someone is on your team, a bucket of water gets dumped on your head that says otherwise. But then, from a distance, a mighty roar came out from the hazelnut bushes, and suddenly everyone knew what they needed to do: form an alliance and defeat Elijah. And in the end, when Elijah was soaked to the bone and dripping wet, it was totally worth it.

A Fair trip Last last last Saturday morning, kids gathered and attempted to get ready to go to the Benton county fair. Since Dad D. works at the good Samaritan hospital in Corvallis, we get in and get lunch for free. There was a great deal of looking and smelling and touching things. We got to see the rodeo, got a pic with Benny the OSU mascot, went on rides, and saw baby chicks, (which Ezra may or may not have tried to stick on of them in his pocket.) Ezra says: "It just didn't fit." Jewel says: "I saw my first rodeo." Keturah says: "I see nothing, I know nothing!"

Anonymous tip: Mom and Dad D. went to Mom's 30th high school reunion.

Rumor column There has been an illegal amount of watching of a popular show called Hogan's Heroes around the DeVyldere household. Gluten Free graham crackers taste like chalk. Captain America is TWO superheroes.

Newsflash (Did you know?) That Rachel D. got her permit? That Swiss cheese does NOT come from whales? That our neighbors are moving?
Now you know
