Side note: We're back!!! I am very happy to say that T.W.C is finally back after a previous break of many weeks. But of course that begs the question: "Why did we stop?" well, the answer is quite simple actually, see it started with the preparation of G.R.W.C, then add that to 2 different groups of cousins coming periodically from different states, and you get a lot of fun prohibiting time to write. But now that the two glorious weeks of G.R.W.C are over, I have the time to write about all the fantastico fun which (as you might have guessed) included spanish. It's good to be back!!! Let the stories begin!

G.R.W.C The Last Camp...
First of all, I think it is necessary to point out that this latest G.R.W.C (or God Rocks Worship Camp as you non abbrev. clu. members like to call it) was by far not the last one and the only reason the title uses the phrase "The Last Camp" is because it (if read right) adds a significant amount of mystery, fascination, and interest to the story which is all a writer could hope for in a newspaper article. (And also because it makes the name longer.) But back to the matter at hand, G.R.W.C was an intriguing two weeks of excitement that touched many kids and was very fun (especially since the theme was the fruits of the spirit.) G.R.W.C started each morning, Monday through Friday at nine o'clock with worship by the worship team and the motioners, then a quick visit from the beloved puppet daisy bell that has been going to our camp for years but still isn't too old, and after that the kids split up with their different groups to move on to one of the many different stations listed below: Dance: where the kids learned some basic dance moves and also a choreographed dance with other groups. Led by our very own Hannah D.. Garden: a place where the kids went to hear bible stories based on the fruit for that day, such as Love, Joy Peace, Faithfulness, and so on. Led by Mom D..

Throne room: a place where kids get to lay down and experience the glory of God. Led by our technical (as in not by blood) Aunt Janice.

Instruments: a time where kids get to to learn the basics on a specific instrument of their choice. Either drums, ukulele, piano, or exploratory art (which by the way is led by our very own Grace D. (age 14) and our technical (as Aunt Janice's daughter) cousin Tovah M. (age 13.)

(This just in from the L.K.S: Aunt Janice is not actually related to us.)

Identity books: a place where kids get to create their own book of who God thinks they are. Constructed by Aunt Janice's other daughter Brian (A.K.A crazy craft lady.)

Of course, that only leaves one more thing of G.R.W.C to discuss: The Pieing. There are two giant cans with slots set on the stage with pictures of the helper/counselors that were volunteered (in this case Lena Y. and Micah D. (A.K.A Dr. Worm) to be pied, and the kids at the camp get to put money in the cans. The person with the most money in the can with their picture gets a pie in the face at the end of the camp, so each year, the contestants compete for the kids' loyalty slash money so they won't get pied. It's a big deal, most of which was under the table dealing, but in the end Dr. Worm got pied with 100 dollars in his can.

Cousins As you may know, families of rather unusual sizes (also known as our relatives) the Worcesters and Ferriers came up to Oregon a few weeks ago. The officially released to the public answer as to why they came up was to basically spend time with our awesome familia and to enjoy the not-as-hot-as-what-they’re-used-to weather we have here in Oregoni, but is that the full story? I guess we'll never know. These families, consisting of Aunt Sarah, (Mom D.’s sister), Uncle Shan, and their 8 children (from South California), plus Aunt Rachel, (Mom D.’s other sister), and their 11 children (from Kansas City Missouri), rarely come up to Oregon, but when they do it‘s a tons of fun.   I suppose all that’s left is to describe is the amazing adventures we had as a group, such as…: Setting off numerous fireworks at our house (because who doesn’t like playing with fire?) even though it was weeks after the fourth of July.

(No pics here. Apparently cameras and fire don't mix.)

Going through G.R.W.C. Even though it was just with the Worcesters it was amazing, and dare I say, Fruitastic. Dot dot dot:
Fruit pic. 3 Fruit pic. 2   Having a giant picnic at Avery Park, which included sticking four picnic tables together, and also playing soccer.     Going to the coast for a few days, where many of us Surfed slash wore wetsuits for the first time.  CME pic. Coast trip pic 2 Coast trip pic 3 Coast trip pic.

And floating the river in rafts, where Elijah became the dread pirate Roberts and got taken down by Rachel all in one trip.   Note: Have the L.K.S hack into Elijah’s phone to figure out if he has any pictures of the rafting trip.

As you can tell, there was much fun and we were sad to see them leave, but we’re going for a new record when they come next year. P.S we don't know what record, but we'll find one.

Timber!!! 2 weeks ago, on Saturday the 12th the lean-to that was connected to the back of the barn was attacked by a killer chainsaw. There have been reports that Dad D. can be placed near the scene of the not-so-crime, but the L.K.S is still working on it. For now, all we know is that, (in the midst of clearing the area), there were 2 bee attacks, and that Walmart may or may not be its own fourth world country. Wait, wrong story. But back to point: now our burn pile is twice as tall.

(Pictures of kids D.' creations will be posted next week, don't miss it!!!)
