The Weekly Comet 46 (comments and criticisms welcome)
Drake and Josh On the 12th of June, at 11 o’clock, Faith D. was sitting on her bed writing T.W.C, minding her own business, when suddenly she heard an enormous “something” thumping up the stairs. By the time Faith turned towards the doorway she saw a polar bear coming up the stairs. After a few moments she finally realized that it was in fact not a polar bear but a big, white, hairy, lovable dog named Drake. Faith D. immediately fell over on the bed crying because she had really wanted a dog for her birthday (which was the following day.) Of course, Mom, Rachel, and Grace D. came in after Drake and insisted that Faith pet the dog, but Faith still could not for a good 5 minutes. When she finally did pet the dog, not longer than 5 minutes later she, Grace, and Rachel took him on a midnight dash to exercise him, and once that was over, Faith could not sleep for an hour. But wait! there's more: The night after the next, on Saturday, after getting back from Salem Faith and Grace we're convinced by Hannah and Rachel to go outside to see the stars, but when they went outside, they spotted a black and white spotted dog named Caesar running across the lawn. Caesar's name was eventually changed to Josh. So their official names together are now: "DRAKE AND JOSH" (This has been a auto-biography-story by Faith D.)
Father's day The 15th of July, (note my careful consideration to not say "Last Last Last Last Sunday" (for the sake of not being repetitive) (and for the sake of not having an unnamed (possibly Hannah) person singing the first line of that song nobody knows: "Last Sunday night")parts of the DeVyldere family headed out to the YMCA for father's day. The two vehicles that held the DeVylderes were greeted by Micah on Elijah's shoulders holding a sign that said "Need a father", and after that there was basketball, racquetball, and swimming, and just to come home to pizza and for Dad to get a slack line from us kids.
Happy late late father's day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Zoo trip!!! On the 22nd of June, Mark B., Susannah O., Lena Y., Jerusha D., and Hannah and all the kids younger than her went to the portland zoo, there were many cool creatures that I would describe but as they say: "What happens in the zoo, stays in the zoo."
Train terrain By Grace D. At 900 hours, last last last Tuesday morning, a train stopped along Blackberry Lane starting with a big crash then ending with the screeching of the trains breaks. We are not going to disclose any suspects, but there are rumors that the train was heading to Cleveland. The Weekly Comet's top investigators were on the scene in seconds, but found nothing. We can only assume the worst: (the LKS has been missing for a number of days and told the authorities they were going goat sheep herding.) "Oldest trick in the book" said the commanding officer (A.K.A the L.K.S is really heading off to Cleveland.) I of course set him straight by using the ACTUAL oldest trick in the book on him. (From now on T.W.C's going to have to send someone else to the theoretical police station.)
Thank you for reading The Weekly Comet!!!
