The Weekly Comet 24 (comments and criticisms welcome)

Today marks a day we haven't celebrated ever before, 2014. Keep in mind that next year I will probably write the same thing just with 2015 instead, so watch out. Last night probably ended the same way for us as it did for you, with the morning, and then sleeping in all day today because you stayed up too late yesterday, so I ask you to appeal to your inner self, and excuse me for not writing a whole newspaper this week. Nothing was too exciting though, so you're not missing much, except Elijah epically failing at Mario kart on the Wii. But all is not lost, I did interview everyone in the family about their new years revolutions, so here it is: Keturah says: "My new years resolution is to not go into Ezra's room as much." Ezra says: "To eat one of the doughnuts from Elijah's secret doughnut stash a year." Jewel says: " Sarah says: "To perform a walking handstand." Faith says: "To make The Weekly Comet better." Grace says: "To stop subconsciously signing stuff." Rachel says: "To take a shower." Elijah says: "To epically beat Ben at Mario Kart as much as possible." Micah says: "To come up with more new years resolutions for next year." Jerusha says: "To stop procrastinating." Joel says: "Hurly burly, all girly whirly." Isaiah says: "To check the messages on my phone and empty my inbox so people can get a hold of me." Mom says: "To blow up the medicine cabinet." Dad says: "To not die." Hannah says: "To eat more gummy worms, and to tickle more children, and to pet Ezra's fuzzy head more often. Wait, that's Jewel." (Please take into account that (for this specific reason) we only asked for one of their new years resolutions, but Hannah got us on some technical details and she had Mom on her side, so she was an exception.)
