Thanksgiving/break

As you probably already know, (because if you don't you are probably some random person living in a cave that has wifi and lots of chocolate), last week was Thanksgiving break!!!! Rachel and Sarah had school off the entire week, so it was pretty awesome. There were many card games and partying all week long, but the real treat was Thursday, also known as Thanksgiving day.

Thanksgiving was a collaboration of different people but not Mom D. because she was still recovering. Joel was in charge and made a lot, and Dad, Rachel, Grace, Faith, and Sarah helped too. There was also a time when everything was cooking and a bunch of DeVylderes played DeVyldere ball, which was very fun too. Everyone pitched in and there was lots of great food to eat, and Mom D. came down for one of the first times since her surgery to eat with the family.

There was also a special treat for dessert. We had pumpkin pie but some of the people in our family can't have gluten or dairy or stuff like that, so Joel, Faith, and Sarah teamed up against Rachel and Grace to see who could make the best gluten free dairy free soy free pie. Joel Faith and Sarah made a lemon meringue pie, and Grace and Rachel made a banana cream meringue pie. Both of the pies were amazing even though the banana cream pie wasn't cooked all the way, so it just goes to show you, pie is an essential part to every thanksgiving.

I hoped you had an ecstatic Thanksgiving week!!!

Update on Mom D. This is what Mom D. has to say about having surgery: Mom says: "It was a real blessing. The surgery went quick and I got the best doctor there was. I got my own room which was a real blessing too, and I am feeling better already." Mom D. is also back to driving a little because it has been more than a week since the surgery.

Black Friday for the DeVylderes A wise person (Dad D.) once said: "The best way to spend Black Friday is to stay at home." Of course he said this right afterwards: "Why should I go to a store to get trampled when I could get trampled in my own house?" (Just for the record, the L.K.S (somehow) came to the conclusion that as few as 20 people get trampled in the DeVyldere household on a weekly basis, and almost never Dad D... It's usually an L.K.S member.) But anyway, Black Friday was a midst of fun and debating about whether to camp out in the front of the dollar tree store until it opens, rush around but don't buy anything, and then rush out again, but we decided against it because... . But to all of you who actually went shopping on Black Friday, I'll visit you in the hospital.

Anonymous tip: The L.K.S has discovered something: Santa Claws' beard is fake!!!!

Sports: The Nerf gun wars. It has been a non stop nerf gun war since Ezra's birthday, because of course the ideal gift for a seven year old boy is nerf guns, so you pretty much have to watch your back because seven year olds aren't the only ones that are into nerf guns, we've all been there, you know it. People have even began to call it "The Nerf Gun Age" or N.G.A for short. But we all know the L.K.S is the most prepared because they have nerf guns on them 24-7, (trust me, I've tried shooting them in the middle of the night) and they of course have already taken down the easter kangaroo and more. And so with that said, beware santa claus.

The LK.S is not liable for any damage done to the sleigh or any flying zebras.  Special message from the L.K.S

Rumor column Ezra's stuffed animals are alive. The L.K.S is hunting down a so called person named "Grace." Hannah's used-to-be-almost-husband on the voice dumped her for a lawnmower-accident-proned-rockstar. The tree that the L.K.S made fall is back to normal now, except with a little more duct tape. The L.K.S was wrong, that big guys' beard was real, but sadly, it came off anyway. The LKS has publish a new book, Santa Claus for dummies.

The weekly L.K.S news: Sarah D.'s awesome concert.

Sarah says: "I had a concert yesterday night, and I was awesome."

Jewel says: "I loved it. I loved it a lot."

Ezra says: "It was really busy and awesome and I got to see inside the elementary school for the first time in years."

Keturah says: "Yeah!!!!!!!!!She was the best one there."

The Weekly Chuck Norris joke: Chuck Norris invented black. In fact he invented the entire spectrum of visible light. Except pink. Tom Cruise invented pink.(And aviators.)

Newsflash

(Did you know?)

That half of the fire station is a darker blue than the other half?

That the church the DeVylderes go to is officially getting a new pastor in January?

That Jewel D. got new tenni-shoes?

   Now you know

A moment with the L.K.S helping make you stay informed.                                         -Santa Claus for dummies The L.K.S first hand advice for dealing with Santa Claus. Sarah (the L.K.S leader) says: "The first rule to looking out for Santa Claus would be looking for guys with white beards and red suites. You'd be surprised how many false alarms and law suites there can be! Even for such a specific description. Luckily The L.K.S has the best lawyer, a penny can buy, Sarah sue, (she'll sue you.) And if you see Santa Claus, call the L.K.S hotline at 155-555-5555, (it's just one letter away from The Weekly Comet's phone number, but believe me, they would just take a picture of him), or you could go to Narnia and ask Susan if you can use her horn. Either one works. Actually If you want to go all Nerdy about this, It would be faster to go to Narnia since like a hundred years would only be 2 minutes. And who doesn't want to go to Narnia?" And there was your nerdy moment with The Weekly Comet. Now back to the non chipmunk talking world. Thanks for reading, and join us next week at T.W.C.
