The Weekly Comet 18 (comments and criticisms)

Laughritus For those of you who don't know, Laughritus (laugh-right-us) is a disease founded and named by the DeVyldere people. No one knows the cure yet, but we do know it is very dangerous."You get it once and you have it forever," (Quote from one of our top lab researchers.) Laughritus was first found 5 or 6 years ago when the big kids were watching T.V and a commercial started playing, something to do with new sicknesses that had the weirdest of long, complicated names. The kids thought that they should find a sickness and name it some complicated random name, so after many hours of looking and thinking, they found a disease one night which they called "Laughritus." Laughritus is when someone is laughing so hard they can't stop (literally laughing your heart out), which leads to almost fainting which leads to gasps which leads to being okay and laughing all over again. Laughritus is easiest to catch when it's really late or when your just really tired. Please note that Laughritus is a serious DeVyldere disease which is contagious and unknown by most humans. Warn the world of this fast moving non-deadly-probably-not-really-that-much-of-a-threat disease!!!!!!!!
B-day extravaganza
Tonight is going to be the ultimate fun family party celebrating Ezra's and Elijah's birthdays. Elijah's was on Monday, and Ezra's is next week, but since Mom is having surgery next week, we're celebrating both of them on Wednesday night. Happy birthday Ezra and Elijah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anonymous tip: A new movie trailer is coming out called "L.K.S V.S Santa Claws."
Supertux 2: Avenge of the cute cartoon characters
A popular computer game in the DeVyldere household, Supertux 2, has caused children to take sides against each other. Why? The answer is simple, the cute little cartoon snowballs and ice cubes. Okay, so maybe it's not that simple. The little characters in the game are supposed to be killed in order for Supertux (a penguin and the main character) to get across the finish line, they are supposedly placed there by the evil Yeti and will kill you given the chance. But the L.K.S went on strike and protested against the killing of the cute creatures. They made signs and put them everywhere, and they eventually turned the minds of other kids. But some remain unmoved. When will this turmoil end?! Only time will tell.
I would like to put in that T.W.C has not publically chosen sides over this dispute due to the fact it would sway too many opinions.
This is a game made by the one and only Micah D., and is pretty much AWESOME!!!!!! So try it out. The object of the game is to infect all of the balls. Space to start, arrow keys to move, and r to restart.
Good luck, "...and may the force be with you." (
Albert Einstein.)http://www.devyldere.com/infection This link didn't work so just search the web address.
Deer in Headlights
Note: Please take into account that this is technically a "theoretical" game and did not actually, physically or mentally exist. Please also take into account that T.W.C staff as well as the people mentioned in this story cannot be tied to or affiliated with this...um..."unreal" game. Nonetheless, Mom, Dad, you should probably not read this for your own safety and the safety of all your children (especially me since I'm your favorite.) But, assuming that you are just going to ignore this warning, please continue. And, since you probably want to, do NOT try this game at home.
Rules: When your name is called out, don't move.
Tools: A trampoline, a rope swing of any kind within the radius of the trampoline and that hangs above the surface of the trampoline, and a bunch of kids that will not (under the right circumstances) sue you.
About: The game "Deer in Headlights" originated from the collaboration of Hannah, Micah, Elijah, Rachel and Grace, and is one of the most popular (and dangerously illegal) games in the DeVyldere household. It starts out with one person on the rope swing keeping themselves from swinging by planting their feet on the surface of the trampoline, while the rest of the kids just jump around really cautiously but pretending they're not scared of anything. Then, after laughing about the kids being mortally terrified, the person on the swing calls "Deer in headlights" and then calls out a name of a kid jumping, the kid has to freeze while the person on the swing heads straight for them and supposedly they jump out of the way at the last second, or they get hurt, unless someone else pushes him/her out of the way. This game keeps going until A: Someone gets hurt, or B: The kids decide there should be a new person on the swing. Of course theoretically this game would sound like a blast, but of course, we have to leave it as just that, a theoretical game.
Rachel says: "Theoretically, Elijah and me got so good at it that we almost didn't move out of the way."
Rumor column: Faith's new coach might be dad.... or a squirrel with a coffee addiction. Sarah snook out of school with an elaborate plan involving the squirrel. The treehouse is getting a Lama and naming it "Old lama."
The Weekly L.K.S news: The Elevator
Sarah says: "It's fun!!!!!!!!Except the part where I'm sleeping and I axidently fall down it."
Jewel says (among other things): "No comment."
Ezra says: "It's really fun and I keep on pushing people into the basement."
*eturah says: "I didn't even ride the elevator but I still got into the club. Wait, don't tell Sarah that part. Actually don't type that, Okay? Well just don't put my full name there.
Ezra, official toy car jumper of the 21st century
Ezra says: "I'm really proud of my work and it's really fun. I take the cars, I put them on a platform and I launch them with my hand and the cars try to jump over a bunch of cars lined up on the ground."
(Ezra was stripped of his title shortly after he got it due to the fact that he did not actually jump toy cars, he had a toy car jump toy cars.)
Newsflash
(Did you know?)
That Sarah is having a concert with her school on December 3rd?
That Elijah's birthday was on Monday?
That Ezra's birthday is on Thanksgiving?
Now you know
Sports: So hay (is for horses) your favorite unreliable sports writer is back. And very sore from recent basket ball practices that started last week. Anyway since I'm not supposed to talk about myself, ( a news rule or something like that.) So I'll catch you up with the recent news: Faith will be starting Basketball for the first time this year. Her coach is still undecided. Besides what the rumor column might say, you guys are so gola...... Sorry, getting off track. Any how Rachel who's playing for South Albany High school will start practicing soon and there will most likely be no one cut during try outs. Oh and this may count as sports news I guess. Hannah's in love with a singing rugby player. As The Weekly Comet would say, Inside joke. It's good to be back!
New Pastor: As many of you know Lebanon foursquare is in the middle of switching and finding a new pastors. Sad but true there is little known about the pastor that the council interviewed a couple of weeks ago, as details are a secret including if they are considering him/she seriously for a new pastor. Anyway, this concludes-ish the update on the new pastor.
Thank you for reading The Weekly Comet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
